Ahhh, life in a small town...
The postwoman just came by with the package I'd been waiting for (which turned out to be a book I hadn't ordered, so it's getting shipped back ASAP) and was telling Mr. Kitty that the people at the post office had a betting pool going on what The Palacial Estate was going to be. Frontrunners are a church or a restaurant.
A pool. A bunch of total strangers have been betting money on Mr. Kitty and I's house. And it's been going on for some time. Good god.
Perhaps I should've asked for a cut, since of course she's going to run up the pot a bit and then swipe it, now that she knows what it is.
