Who invaded my closet?????

So, in preparation for Impending Jobness, I stopped by MegaLargeCorporation and purchased some new clothes (just to tide me over til I find my stash). Plus MamaKitty gave me birfday money, which I promptly spent on more clothes. Sophie would have been salivating at all the bags. ;) I got some whimsical items, plus two pairs of fabulous high-heeled suede boots (buy one get one free!!), but mostly I centered on things that I'm going to be comfortable working in that caught my eye. I was putting said clothing away just now, when it hit me.

I've become.. a corporate young adult.

Actually, I have no clue how you would describe it, but it certainly isn't the style I've become accustomed to over the past, oh, ten years or so.

Lots of colors.. reds, blues, greens, purples, even soft browns. Clean-cut, modest sweaters, mock turtlenecks, cardigans for impending coldness (and lightweight dressy tank tops for underneath), a couple of tailored suit jackets in supersoft wool blends. Black and gray one-pleat pants with belts.

Small, unassuming earrings.. "sapphire" and "diamond" studs, gold and silver balls. Nothing dangly. And low-key hair ties.

I even (gasp) bought several bras.

When the bloody hell did this happen??????? I'm so ashamed. So very, very, very ashamed. I thought I had a few years left before this happened.
