Jul. 20th, 2003 08:59 pmAll in all a pretty productive weekend. Got a lot done outside yesterday (didn't even get a sunburn! go me!!), and today was all about tile. Grouting is on The List for tomorrow.
Shaved the dog today. No, that's NOT a euphamism, ya sick pervs. Our middle boy has been having a lot of trouble with the weather (he's a black lab/chow mix- long haired with a thick undercoat) which topped 100 here yesterday; plus I don't know what the heck he's been doing but he was covered in matts and briars (I brush the damn dog all the time- how does he *do* this??), and I just decided enough was enough. Had to go to WallyWorld to get a pool for the boys (gods, they are SO SPOILED) and managed to find a set of clippers that were on sale.. hour and a half later and I think we've both lost 20 lbs- him from hair and me from sweat. But he's obviously much more comfy- went tearing around the yard and playing with his rope toy afterwards. He also seemed to really enjoy the whole process- just lay there like a lump and let me turn him as needed, tail wagging the whole time. Good thing, since I didn't have much of a desire to wrestle with the 85lb mutt. Oh, and speaking of tails, turns out he doesn't actually have a real one. Imagine my surprise when I discovered it was all hair! Poor pup.
Now I just need to figure out why the hell Spybot keeps hanging up halfway through a scan.. I've uninstalled and downloaded a new copy twice now, but it gets stuck at the exact same spot each time. ::grumble::
