Jul. 21st, 2003 03:02 pmGood news, bad news.
Good news: Got my first job interview tomorrow.
Bad news: Pay isn't too great- and significantly less than what I was making at EvilCorptm- but I suppose I should be greatful for the consistent hours.
Good news: It's for Kennel Manager at the local Animal Shelter. Puppies and kitties, all day every day!!
Bad news: The AS is not city/state funded- it's private. As such, the standard of cleanliness was.. less than stellar. I'm wondering how long it would take me to pass out from the smell.
Good news: Smell is probably easily fixed with proper ventilation and other things that I could be in charge of fixing. It's a job I can do, and c'mon- puppies and kitties!!
Bad news: Not a no-kill shelter. ::sniffle::
We'll just wait and see- I don't know what the competition looks like, so I don't know where on the list I am. Will keep y'all posted.
Incidentally, I stuck my head outside earlier today, 'round about 11AM... thermometer read 98F. Out of curiosity, I just checked again. It's freakin' ONE HUNDRED AND TEN DEGREES. In the SHADE.
Ugh.
