(no subject)

Was glancing over the possible TV pickings for this evening (prior to Stargate, of course) and noticed "She-Devil" is on at 8pm. Now, before you think I'd actually willingly watch this drek, let me assure you that I will be avoiding it.

However, seeing it advertised brought back an interesting memory. When the movie was first being advertised (waaaaaaaay back in 1989) I remember being quite traumatized at the prospect of Roseanne playing the lead. Then I found out it was a comedy, and knew there was no way in hell I was going to see this thing. I've accidentally caught bits and pieces of it over the years, but have never seen the whole movie. Why would I be traumatized, you ask. Does anyone else remember the original show "She-Devil"? I have extremely hazy recollections of it, but I believe it was a British show and it was dark and **steamy**. And pretty creepy, actually (lots and lots of icky surgery scenes for the "ugly" lead's transformation). The thought of Roseanne pulling off a movie based on this show was kinda like.. huh.. kinda like Rosie O'Donnell and Dan Ackroyd in East of Eden. ::shudder::

I'm thinking of watching the first hour of "Bring it on." Mmmm.. Eliza Dushku.

There's nothing good on TV tonight (even Eliza can't save Bring It On)... so I'm thinking of renting something with Ewan MacGregor or Daniel Day Lewis. Yum.

Eliza saves it if you watch it with the sound off. ;)
